Will the Real Leader Please Stand Up?

The protests on Wall Street are being covered more intently on Facebook than they are on the local NY News. While local news is devoting a very few minutes on the various newscasts, ( and most of those are from helicopters) there are lots of posts all over Facebook about it. The biggest news coverage was when they tried to march over the Brooklyn Bridge and people were arrested.

I do find it interesting that no one seems to have a cohesive idea what they are protesting over. I have seen people who claim to be part of the TEA party protesting against taxes. I have seen videos of people demanding Obama resign or be impeached. I have seen some videos demanding that Congress pass the jobs bills. But I have also seen those too. Those demands look like thinly veiled socialism. You know, he ones demanding a $20 per hour minimum wage. This morning I saw that Unions are jumping into the fray. There was a rumor that Soros was behind it, then I saw another one that the Koch brothers were. I have heard of strange bedfellows but this is crazy!

Does anyone there have a cohesive argument? Is there a leader in the crowd somewhere? I see a lot of people yelling but not a lot of leadership. The leadership in this protest isn’t any better than the leadership of the country. Back in the 60s and 70s when antiwar protests were a common occurrence, there were leaders. The closest thing I have seen to a leader in these protests is Facebook. That is frightening. Leadership 101 anyone?
