Mr 25 Percent

Mitt Romney and his sons are smiling brightly as recent polls from Iowa show Mitt on top and Newt Gingrich - his latest rival - fading. And Ron Paul will never get the GOP nomination. The overwhelming majority of Republicans are sane and not motivated by racist, paranoid views despite what the Democrats say.

Is The GOP Capable Of Learning Lessons?

Sometimes I wonder if the GOP is capable of learning any lessons. Here we are again - four years later - with the establishment pushing another mediocre candidate that can't inspire the Republican base to save his political life. Just like John McCain.... well at least McCain had the war hero thing going for him. Mitt Romney doesn't have that. He has Bain! And Romneycare, of course (insert sarcastic tone).

Bain's Victims Parade Begins

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a piece casting doubt on Romney's electability . In my piece I predicted:
"Should he get the nomination, America will be treated to the parade of Bain's victims. Every person that lost a job because of Bain, will be featured by the MSM along with a full accounting of the management fees Romney's firm collected as companies they ran filed for bankruptcy. Stories about individuals losing their pension and health care benefits while Bain's investors received hefty returns on their money."

Romney's Electability Myth

Yes, Mitt Romney has baggage too; and I am not talking about Romneycare. If you think that Romneycare is wonderful for Massachusetts and yet not wonderful enough for the rest of country is a cogent position, I cannot help you. So there is no point in going over it again and again.

Besides, Romney has more baggage than just Romneycare. Yes I know, the MSM right now is saying that Mitt is the perfect candidate for the general election. The only one who can beat Obama, we are told.

Newt, GOP And Family Values

Last night, Newt Gingrich put to rest any questions about his infidelity. He handled the question perfectly. And Perry's contention that breaking marriage vows means that a person cannot be trusted in business or in any position of leadership is baseless. Thomas Jefferson had affairs. Ben Franklin had an illegitimate son. According to statistics, half the marriages end in divorce. Adultery rates are high. Is Perry suggesting that all divorced people or adulterers are unreliable business partners?

Random Thoughts On Iran

In a recent debate, Mitt Romney declared:
“If we re-elect Barack Obama, Iran will have a nuclear weapon. And if you elect Mitt Romney, Iran will not have a nuclear weapon,”
Groan. It is amazing to see so many Republicans embrace the same faulty logic adopted by the Democrats during the 2008 campaign.

Bush Made The Libya Model Possible

They say that success has many fathers and failure is an orphan. And that's exactly what is going with Libya. Anyone who followed the events leading to the end of the Qaddafi's regime knows that it was Nicolas Sarkozy and David Cameron that led the effort. Barack Obama took great pains to make it clear to the world that the US role would be limited. That he would be leading from behind (i.e. not leading). Yet, as soon as the graphic images of the fallen dictator hit the Internet, the Obama sycophants quickly gave sole credit for the removal of Qaddafi to our president.

Time For Cain To Call Kobe's Jeweler

The look of fear that flashed on Herman Cain's face last night during his interview with Sean Hannity was striking. Hannity seemed surprised too that his suggestion of looking at airlines tickets, hotel videos and other evidence to determine whether the allegations made by Ginger White are true was met with a blunt refusal. "Sean... Let's not play detective." Cain sternly replied.
